so...i was driving down 595 from the airport yesterday and hit a racoon on the highway goin on at about 85mph.....
i really didnt care at first because i thought i just went over it but i noticed some kind of tingling/dragging sound as i got to a stop light.....and i see my foglights are danglijng off...
right side of the front bumper has a huge dent and foglights are completely destroyed (the support on the back is shattered into pieces)..
so i'm thinking of m5 kit if the quote is higher than the kit itself...(the service "quoter" is gone and there is a huge line of cars waiting to be quoted/serviced, it'll take me about 3 weeks to figure out..)
so i was wondering what the estimate is going to be for replacement for stock bumper + foglight...

ps. is m-kit easy to install by yourself if you have it painted already? or do i have to dremel anything off in order to fit the kit on.... thanks!

What color is your car? want to buy my silver gray front bumper?

Rody has a DIY thread on how to install the M-Tech bumper.

There's an old addage in motorcyclying: Never hit any creature that you couldn't finish eating in one meal.

Sounds like you could have left-overs for a week.

This is so true!

Actually it goes, do not hit anything, even a fly in your eye can kill you.

And look out for tram lines, sand, x-crossings, cars ........

Ric, you just answered somebody's questions back a ways. They were wondering what the term "tramlining" meant and its derivation...there we have it. Getting stuck in the groove of a TRAM (trolley car) track embedded in the roadway. And if you do it with a narrow-tired bike (of any sort), you are in for a real thrill.

Thanks,
Ray

Also.. driving on actual rails/tramlines suck.. especially if conditions are as now in Oslo - snowy and lots of salt.
