In Scandinavia you have to drive with lights on, even if sunny , so I program that in Idrive and my lights are on always. I was in sweden and Denmark this summer and that is how I complied, I progra,,ed running lights off when I got back to the US.
Lights on auto will have the angel eyes switched on at all times (that's how the LCI is configured in Sweden anyway) and this is enough as daytime running lights in the EU. When it becomes darker the xenons are turned on automatically.
