Not to change the subject but can you (or someone) post some detailed pics of the new cupholder? I remember people talking about a newer design but I don't remember seeing any pics that show exactly how they're different from the original design.

I do remember a post detailing a procedure of grinding off a small piece of the original model but I'm curious what the new, unmodified ones look like...
Rudy, I just drove a brand new 550i and checked the cup holders, I have to admit I'm a heavy drinker, (water, and coffee that is). The new cup holders appear to look the same, if I decide to buy the 550, I will bring my trusty travel mug for the ultimate test.

Here are pictures I promised. Looks very similar, but cans do not tilt anymore like they used to in my 2004 model year car. They stay up straight now, something I was never able to achieve in my old car.

Well I took a quick peek at mine after posting my first message and I now don't see any major differences. I'm going to have to look more closely to see if there's anything noticeable...
