My Ride: 2004 545i: Silver Grey Metallic | Sports Package | | Cold Weather Package | Navigation | Tinted Windows | Adaptive Headlights | Heated rear seats| 166 rims| Matte black kidney grills| Interior: Angel Eyes, LED license plate bulbs, HID fogs, Interior LED
Thumbs up

Can someone please tell me what does replacing the seat occupany mat entail? I think my dealer is trying to get over on me, i thought the entire middle section of the sport seat had to be replaced. Then I heard its a mat inside the seat that needs has to be replaced. I'm looking for clarification.

I had the passenger restraint light come on my idrive and airbag/seatbelt light in dash - took it to the dealer and they changed the passenger seat mat. I'm not exactly sure where that is located, but i do know they removed the passenger seat and fixed it. there was a recall on some e60's about this problem. There are a few threads about the passenger restraint system. Your dealer should not charge you for this, or call BMW NA to have them take care of it - they picked up my tab since i'm out of warranty and i didn't take no for an answer because they will try to tell you that your VIN was not part of the recall.
