question on Navigation path highlight
#1
Help!
I thought my navigation (US) was previously displaying the arrow, and the highlighted path from current position, to the destination. Howevery today, it highlights the entire path from the location where I turned on my navigation, to the destination. This makes it a little confusing on which direction to go after doing some detour turns.
Is this controlled by some option, or was I imagining the previous behavior?

My navigation highlights from where I started too.
I guess it can get confusing, but if you are making several stops, why don't you turn it off and start it when you are ready to go since you are obviously not using the navigation?
I always setup the navigation on the big scren and arrow display on the amall screen, gives me the most information, keeps it less confusing, and looks cool.

As far as way points, you can set different stops within a longer trip and use it like that. I always have it on, even if I'm not actively navigating somewhere. It's nice to see where you are and can zoom out and see the general direction where you want to go in case you get lost. I always have a good set of maps in the car as well just in case I want to see a large area with detail.
But that works for me. It may be different for you.

Unless you have the HUD and the arrow display shows up "on top" of the hood in front of you. You can have a trip computer on the small screen. Now THAT'S cool.

For real? then my oct 05 car is having issues deciding which way to go. Anyone else seeing this behavior?
In other words, if you always follow the instructions, the whole path is highlighted. If you deviate or re-start, it will highlight from the deviation (i.e. most likely "current position" when you are focusing on it) onwards. Haven't had the opportunity to test what happens when TMC changes and you get prompted for a re-routing, but I feel pretty confident it would show the route from the diversion point.
Apologies for the wrong info before
