Question on BMW approved 124 points used car check

Does anyone have the list of the 124 points used car check provided by the UK BMW dealers?

What does it consist of?

Whilst not wishing to be at all cynical, I think that the BMW AUC checklist is as follows:

1. Has it been washed?
2. Does it start?
3. Are all the warning lights off?
4. Can we get it past the MOT tester?

So there you are, points 1 t(w)o 4

If any faults showed up, they would have to pay for it, otherwise, any points that you raise will be covered by the BMW factory warranty.
Note that the AUC warranty is not a factory warranty, it is just an Insurance based one, with its attendant pitfalls.

Don't know but it certainly doesn't cover "Are the front and rear tyres all run flats?".
Found out a few months after buying mine that the fronts were run flats and the rears were non run flats.
To be fair it's difficult to tell unless you specifically look for this as all my tyres were Bridgestone RE050As.

Still, used the old ones for about 6,000 miles then got 2 new rears for free!

I believe they also have to do any service items that have less than 4,000 miles life left before it leaves.

I think that as with most of these schemes, they only check stuff. If it is faulty they leave it! It actually adds up to the square root of FA.

I had a reasonably good experience with an AUC. They replaced front and rear brake pads, windscreen and rear tyres and repainted the nose due to stone chips. So the experience can vary I suppose.

Did they do this BEFORE you said you would have the car? I assume that the brake wear countdown was very low indeed. And who wouldn't ask for some rear tyres if they were worn. In my experience, yes, they will rectify almost anything that you notice before picking the car up, and shortly thereafter. (I had two new wheels as my rears were buckled - which I only noticed on my way home from picking up my nice shiny car). The concern is, that even if there were 124 items thoroughly checked, would they actually do anything about it before showing the car for sale. I suppose it is good marketing, you got stone chips touched up - they would probably have done that anyway, but by leaving it to the salesman to suggest it, then he looks good in your eyes, rather than the chips being done previous to the car going on show - so you don't know anything about it.
