Question Question about the iDrive

Recently changed my iDrive screen out for a 8" screen without the iDrive functions and I am wondering how I can get all the service timers and the amount of km I can drive until I need to change certain parts in another way, is there any way to get the information without the iDrive screen?

There is no other way. You need the idrive in an E60. The car doesn't even have a temperature gauge, how will you know if its over heating?. How are you even going to change the temperature inside the car from hot to cold? All those functions are buried in the iDrive.

Well I guess I misunderstand you. How do you change a screen without the idrive unless you are using a different system? Do you mean you swapped a bigger screen from a different idrive?
