Default Question

Guys,

Can anyone tell me how to check the oil level on the dip stick for the N62 motor? Should the vehicle be OFF or ON?

Thanks In Advance,

Kevin

Believe there are no dipstick's and the motor has to be running and warmed up i believe. Check via idrive. my car only shows the level when fully warmed up. bmw has no acullay dip sticks in newer models.

Thanks bro, but the motor I have has a dip stick. I'm assuming it was one of the last motors in production with a dip stick. Don't trust the i-drive cuz the oil level sensor failed before and i almost blew the motor thinking there was oil as per the i-drive but there wasn't.

I have an 07 550i, engine is N62TU. Mine does have a dip stick. You need to check the oil level when the engine is off and the car has sat for awhile to get a more accurate reading.
