If so go straight to the dealer, if not, find a good independent BMW mechanic to fix it!

Why do you have the two notches in the rubber?? I don';t have that in my 05 545. I had my car in the South for four years and now in the cold in MI for 1 year and NOTHING like that has happened to my molding. This doesnt seem normal... Do ytou still have the original glass installed or did someone do a windshiedld replacement foor you/in the past?

That's what I was thinking. not sure where the OP lives, but looks like ice scraper damage.

That sucks, I have a 04 and it looks the exact same way. I am blaming it on the super hot S. Utah heat with average summer temps 105+. Are you in a hot climate as well? However its pleasing to read other posts that its not too much of an expense to fix it.
