I just got a new 2007 550 SMG 2 weeks ago, switched from a 05 545. I put a B&B (Tri Flo) on a cold air intake on a had my ECM remapped by Upsolute. I am putting it on a Dyno for a couple of pulls to see if there was a increase from the original ECM program. Upsolute requested I send them dyno run so they can remap the ECM again for free to calibrate it exactly for my car all I have to pay for is shipping. The Dyno will monitor the air/fuel mixture and the rest of the common dyno stuff.

So far I am impressed, there is a big gain from stock. Also they took off the speed limiter off, my friend and I hit 145mph and just switched into 5th. I will post the real results later on friday.

I live on Long Island. My friend is a mechanical engineer, we made the intake together. As of now we are proto mode. We have the box formed and fitted from alum., the intake tube is pvc for now until we come up with the best size. We believe it will remain what the pvc is 4" and then it will be made from 4" aluminum tube with a mass air sensor bracket attached. The problem we came across was the intake tube for the car is 3 3/4" so we have to cut down the wall of the tube to fit. The Dyno will tell us if it is worth it or not due to the extreme heat the engine puts out. We also fabricated a induction system in front of the kidney that made a HUGE change in the mid to top end. We removed the kidney and to the right is the vertical duct for the box. We fabricated a polished cast tunnel that pushes so much air into the box its like a turbo. That was the best mod we came up with so far.

Great, I will be looking forward to your results. If I read you right, you didn't do a baseline dyno. Right???

Wish I did a baseline run for my car too. Just found out there's a dyno place near my house so I'll try to get it done before I get the next Dinan performance mod.

Just wondering if the dyno is done yet? I guess you are busy driving the car.

I got the dyno done on Friday. I am not happy the car only put out 369Hp. We ran two runs and both were the same. I caaled upsolute and they said to send them the dyno info and they will set the ecm from the dyno. I was looking for at least 20 more, the ecm upgrade di nothing as of now. So dont waste your money yet like I did. Any questions let me know... We are sending the ecm out again this week to be tuned again by Upsolute, maybe they can do it right this time.
