I would like to purchase an OBD 2. Just wondering if this is also what they use to do coding, and remove alert signs?

This item looks pretty neat...what do you think?

youll be able to retrieve generic OBDII codes with it, but no coding or reading of BMW specific fault codes. id pass on that and get a proper coding cable, they cost less than that thing anyway.

I am interested also to get one, why is the Bav technic cabal more expansive than BMtechnic one is there any significant deferences between these two? which is more easier to use.

a fancy box and a 50' extension cable maybe? i guess that would be nice if you worked in a shop, but for personal use at home i don't see why you'd want to spend that much extra.
