Sorry to hear. BMW safed my life, at open intersection where the cross road has a stop sign. I was doing about 50 mph (speed limit 45 mph), I saw a car is coming from right, so I felt something and let go a gas pedal for milsec, so that car went thru intersection at least 60 mph, I was braking and missed his driver side just by couple inches, because I could see his scared face. If it wasn't BMW brakes I would hit him or he hit me in the engine portion.

Ouch - that hurts!

It looks like the damage is "superficial" but a more thorough examination will tell for sure. As long as the (mostly) aluminum frame structure is undamaged it should come back to you in "good as new" shape. However, it would be wise, after the body shop is done, to have a thorough inspection by a qualified BMW Service Center.

Hope your aches and pains go away too! While a post-accident picture makes it look like a minor hit - it's amazing how much you can get bounced around in an accident.

I'm hoping it's superficial damage. I'm waiting on the estimate now. The tear down is done, just waiting for the adjuster at the body shop...

the elderly lady was driving a toyota camry,... her car did a 180 mid air and ended up facing oncoming traffic.

she's now calming I ran the red light when i was at a complete stop and started a slow roll into the intersection. good thing a witness heading the same direction stopped and gave the police officer a statement and clearly stated the camry was speed and ran the red.

here to report some sad news... my insurance company is going to declare the car a total loss. Current estimates are in the $20k+ w/ and unknown limit. The computer is throwing codes left and right and they don't want to get into the BMW electronics....

Time to start shopping for a new car... What to get now?

My opinion? A 2010 E60 535i. I have driven the F10 a few times when given to me as loaners. Nothing like the E60 in looks or feels.

Just my 2 cents...
