How did your shop handle the aluminum front end repair? I've heard it is complicated and requires BMW factory training to do it right. All sorts of special attachment (glues & such) procedures are required.

You are correct. As a matter of fact, they had another E60 at the salvage yard where the aluminum front end assemble was damaged. I made sure that the one I bought had no such damage. This is one reason they are so quick to claim a total loss on the E60's. The repair of the aluminum front or rear end is very costly. If you do not pay close attention, it is very easy to get upside-down on a re-build.

Drives like new. Becasue there was no suspension damage it steers and drives great.
