I raised it last year and finally got BFD activated on my E60. Took a while but its been done and I've tested it out too. Read the whole thread for details...might be an interesting read.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.

I had someone drive behind me while I applied the brakes and then again after I slammed the brakes, same lights each time.

BFD is ONLY active when ABS kicks in, and when you come to a complete stop. Just at the very end of your emergency stop.

Yes I had squealing then ABS, but I did not come to a complete stop as Iceman is suggesting. After all the sand is gone here in NY, I will try it as Iceman states.
