I raised it last year and finally got BFD activated on my E60. Took a while but its been done and I've tested it out too. Read the whole thread for details...might be an interesting read. Us guys teaching the dealers on what to do.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.

I had someone drive behind me while I applied the brakes and then again after I slammed the brakes, same lights each time.

BFD is ONLY active when ABS kicks in, and when you come to a complete stop. Just at the very end of your emergency stop.

Yes I had squealing then ABS, but I did not come to a complete stop as Iceman is suggesting. After all the sand is gone here in NY, I will try it as Iceman states.
