Hello all,

I have NAV Business (arrows in a 4:3 display) and I'd like to upgrade to the professional one.

Is it possible?

I don't think it will be a hardware problem, just a software.

What do you think?

Thanks.
This is where the "excitement" builds...

The LCI (new model) e60 Business Nav now has a 2D Map in addition to the arrow display.

I wonder whether Progman 25 gives this to current e60s too...

My warranty ends in September (2 years).

I don't know my CIP version but I will try to update it for free.

I don't know if they will do it because from what I have read here we need to have some malfunction so they are forced to upgrade for free.

What do you suggest?

I have a problem with the MP3 DVD's, only about half of the albums are shown in the list in the display.

Will this be sufficient?

Oh and what is "VI+"?
...
"Verkehrsinfo Plus"

Part of BMW Assist, it could be called TMC+... or TMC professional...

V-Info plus ? the ideal way to beat traffic congestion.

V-Info plus is another important function offered by BMW Assist. Using the Controller and the Control Display, you are able to call up information on traffic congestion under the ?Verkehrsinfo? (?Traffic info?) menu item, receiving the latest information on the length of and reason for a traffic jam as well as the last exit before the end of traffic congestion on a motorway, etc. This information comes through official reports updated every 10 minutes, including information and data provided by thousands of sensors along the Autobahn and motorway. These sensors monitor traffic density and speed round the clock, transmitting their data without the slightest delay to the Traffic Control Centre, where the information received is collected and evaluated. This ensures not only immediate recognition of a traffic jam even while it is still building up, but also shows how it is developing. This information then goes to the driver as required either as a text message, in graphic form through a map, or as voice information. And whenever the driver changes his route, the navigation system calculates the new route the driver is taking and presents this information accordingly.
TMC is received from ONE radio station, therefore VI+ is much better.

Probably not, they will just tell you that you are not creating the CD's correctly.

I'd try to use: "The CD just keeps on playing after I mute the system..." reason. I think someone else suggested that in another thread here....

Just another name (the preferred one now) for the former CIP for the software versions
The other way round, of course.
