My Ride:
Hi,
I'm waiting on delivery of my ride in week 27 - seems like forever..
Currently I have a GPS based speed camera locator (Snooper S6Neo-R) installed in my Volvo and it works just fine. However, it seems crazy to have a separate GPS based system installed as an 'add-on' next to my Pro-Nav, not least that I have to find space to locate the bulky display module.
I was wondering if the Points of Interest feature could be edited to accept an upload from a laptop of a camera location database..?
So, my question is - does Pro-Nav have any way in from the outside, or is it 100% restricted to reading what's on the DVD.
Any pointers here, or personal experiences, would be greatfully received.
Regards

My Ride: 535d Sport (M sport steering, M sport sills, M sport suspension, 18inch M style wheels) Carbon black, black nasca, dark wood, dechromed, folding mirrors, extended lights, sun protect glazing, grad tinted winscreen, servotronic steering, heated, ventilated active comfort seats, extended voice control, hi-fi speakers, hud, active cruise, split folding rear seats, rear electric blind, rear manual blinds visbility pack (xenons, adaptive headlights), media pack (6 CD, prof nav, bluetooth with telematics and assist)
Wouldn't that be useful - I'm afraid I think the answer is no. We are all waiting for someone to hack the software so that you can do exactly this. The only other option would be to figure out the DVD file format and add them yourself... But it might be easier to fit a micro road pilot or similar...
