Hey everyone... After reading many posts, it seems to be that most owners with most issues are from mid to end 2003 build (MY2004). Mostly from 2004MY. Have most of the problems been ironed out for MY2005, MY2006? For those who do have MY2004 have those issues been ironed out/fixed?

I just took delivery of an April 05 build 545ia a couple of weeks ago and only have 900 miles on it and it is terrific. Love the little tweeking they do in each succesive year. BMW constantly improves and de-bugs their cars on new models from one year to the next. Just look how they honed the E39 models from year to year. See you are taking delivery in July 05. You will really enjoy it. The extra horses added to the 530i should really be a nice plus. Good Luck!

Actually, my sense is that cars with NAV seem to have more problems than cars without and it doesn't really matter when they were built.

My car is 2003 build and is working pretty much perfectly. There were several small issues, mostly related to software but they are all resolved. I am actually trying to compile a list so that I can request another software update but not having much luck.

Thanks for the input everyone... As far as cars with NAV having more issues.... is it just for early build models, or is anyone experiencing this with later models as well? I ordered NAV and hope its not sluggish.
