How old are your tires?? Could just be a drone from them...or an aftermarket exhaust...or bearings....or a million other things, if the car is under warranty, take it to the dealer and let THEM figure it out! Good luck and keep us posted!
I have an idea. Instead of listening to/reading all the comments here, why not take the car to the dealer. lol

Hey guys,

I have a 2008 520d m sport 47,000 and as i was driving down the motorway today i discovered there was a low humming noise from the car everytime i was doing 63 - 67 mph.

Is it a wheel bearing or worse?
Runflats? Dunflops? They start out quiet, then they begin humming and then they roar. Crappy tires to be replaced at the first opportunity.

You say it's in the mid 60's, but not at slower or faster speeds?

You can pretty much eliminate a driveshaft carrier bearing or a wheel bearing because they would get louder as you go faster.

A wheel bearing is very noticeable because if you are going around a corner it will either get louder or quieter (depending on which side it's on and which direction your steering).

Do you notice vibration at that speed either in general or through the steering wheel? If you do, I'd say it's likely a wheel balancing issue as a wheel which is not balanced will be noticeable at certain speeds like you mention, but not really faster or slower.
