I live in denmark with a lot of taxes!!

I have a 520i 2,2 7/2004 and its fully equipped with: El- Beige dakota Leather, seatheater, orig. auto-glasssunroof, 2 zone clima, Professional Navigation, rainsensors, tirepressure control, shadowline, Xenon with adaptiv, and so on ...

New price incl. taxes around if the dollar is one dollar = 5,5 DKR = 163.636 USD !!

I have imported my car from Germany to Denmark because i couldnt find a car with the things that mine have for sale in DK, and my price this summer for a 2 year old 520i 2,2 incl danish taxes = 105.450 USD.

I can see that you buy new E60 with 8 cylinder and much more for around 60.000 USD !! I wish i lived in the states!!

What good are those stats if you have to pay more than 2 times as much for something like a car? Doesn't exactly mean much when you take that into consideration.

520i which costs the equivalent of $160,000 USD?

My 545i, almost fully loaded, only cost $67,865 USD.

America...... F&%^ Yeah!!!

You got my point then. Unless we can calculate disposable income it doesn't matter whether we pay 600 or 600,000 dollars for something in our local territory. Meaningless comparisons.

F&%^ who with what?

Oh dear we're into jingoistic mode.

Well most of us live for today and ourselves. Good job.

Look what happened to the Roman Empire.

hehe..nice "discussion"

no doubt, I'll support any country that makes available a great car at reasonable prices, both to acquire and maintain, see: fuel prices.
- nevertheless that doesn't mean that everyone Stateside can afford a V8 BMW, even at the price that it's going, it's out of reach for the proportion of population that fall below the average of the figure stated in ABC's table. for +300million people that's a lot of unhappy non BMW drivers :'(
In fact, you have to be on a good salary to afford any type of BMW in the US. Guess what, the same applies anywhere...

What most people tend to forget in Europe is that the prices seem very cheap possibly in comparison to their salary - social benefits acquired here.
"there ain't no free lunch buddy" comes to mind

I guess you missed the joke. You ever seen Team America: World Police? I was making a reference to that, as a joke. Hence the little laughing icon.
