Hello,

I am wondering if anybody had this issue and how they fixed it. Any help is appretiated. I am getting a message "power steering or hydralic suspention fluid loss" and a picture of a tilted car on the hill with an exclamation sign next to it on my 2004 545i with about 56000 miles. It happened in the morning when I started the car and drove for about 1 minute. I just shut off my car and after starting it up after 10 seconds, the message went away and did not appear the whole day (about 5-7 starts). Next day, same thing in the morning, but after shout down and start the message came back again after about 1 minute of driving. I needed 1 more shout downs to get rid of this message.
Is it just because my fluid is near a low mark and with the changes in the temperatures it goes below the mark, causing this issue to light up. If so, where do I fill it?

Hi... I am getting the same problem. I hope you got yours fixed and wasn't anything serious. I have a service appointment scheduled for this saturday. What turned out to be wrong with your car?

I had this issue one more time and it never happened again, but then it was not as cold as on the mornings when it did happen. Let me know what the dealer tells you.

I had the same problem. Mine just needed the fluid topped off and it was taken care of. The dealer said that it is normal to run low enough to trigger the warning after 3 or 4 years. Mine also happened at about 56,000 miles.

Just got the same message last night. I restarted the car it went away. Then when I started the car to drive back home at 2am, the message came on again. They just worked on my steering problem a week ago and replaced a steering knockle or something, that gave me a cracking noise when turning. I already got an appoitment for seats having squeaking noise, so they will have to look at this too.. car has 39k miles. I had more problems with this car then any other. I might go back to Lexus..
