Unhappy Power steering pump help

I have a 2007 550i and I just changed the alternator bracket seal. I drained the power steering reservoir and removed the pump. I completed the job, added new fluid and made sure there were no air bubbles. My headlights use to turn with steering and now they don't. I also thing the steering pump sounds different. Is there something else I should have done. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

Try resetting your active steering. Turn your ignition to number two position and turn wheel fully left and right then turn off. Restart car and see if that helps. Good luck

Maybe you'll have to start car and reset it.
