UK 525d M Sport Auto - LCI 3.0l

Motorway - regularly 44-50mpg. I have had 57mpg over 75 miles diving at a steady 60-65mph and driving with AC off at 70mph I often see 48-50mpg ;-)
Town - regularly 24 (real stop start stuff) -34 mpg (even flow through town)

These are UK Imperial MPG calculations

Thought I would mention this though - when you fellas over the pond start to see diesels and try them, you will love them. One word of warning - maintain your warranty at all times! Diesels are complex beasts and it's not uncommon to see issues brew up over time (EGR's, DPF's, Turbo's/Breathers, Swirl Flaps on those that have 'em etc). It's the same with all makes of cars and modern Oilers - not just Beemers.

2005 545i Auto

I think my iDrive numbers and actual numbers are slightly different. If I take miles driven divided by gallons consumed, it's a couple off from iDrive.

19 mpg city (iDrive); 17.5 mpg city (actual)
27 mpg highway (iDrive); 25 mpg highway (actual)
