Thumbs up

I can't find how to add my current position (whereever I may be) into the address book just as if I'd entered it through the normal new route entry process. I'm still a noob with iDrive and BMW navi. I'm pretty sure it must be possible.

Example why I'd want this:

In a couple of weeks I'll be driving to England and going over on a ferry. As soon as I drive off the ferry, I want to add my current position to the address book as the place I have to drive back to when I come back two weeks later to leave England.

Yes you can. There is a save to address book function that you can use to store the current position.

Good to hear. Also, can you just scroll to anywhere on the map and click down to retrieve location and set as new destination?? I can do this on my minivan... Thanks.

Figured you probably could. Good to hear it confirmed. Too damn cold outside to go try it now though.

Yes but maybe not as simple. Do "new destination", then choose "dest input map". Scroll to your destination, zooming out to scroll faster or in to get more precise, then click and set as destination. It does take some time to figure out the interface though.
