My Ride: E39 525d, orient blue with beige interior. Planing on getting an E60 535d next summer when my lease on my E39 is over :)
Carbon black is awsome as it looks dark blue under the sun or simply black under different lights!

My Ride: Nothing to boast about!
Titanium Silver with Grey interior. Compromised with wife
I like the car's edgy looks but she doesn't. Silver sort of tone down the edginess. Also have never owned a silver colour car before.

Titanium Grey with Grey interior, but it was a process of elimination. They have a much nicer grey in the 7 and some nice colors in the 6. I would have rather had more choice. Next time maybe black and tan interior but then I need an extra $150/month to keep it looking good. I don't have the time nor the inclination to work it. I just want the results. My home has a car port and not a garage. This keeps the dew and moisture off the car but doesn't stop dust blowing on it.

My Ride: 2004 530i - Titanium Grey/Grey/SMG/Nav/sports pack/premium pack/sirius prep
I liked Titanium Grey because I thought it showed the lines of the car great and it looks awesome when its clean (all the colors do) and not terrible when I haven't had the time to clean it in a while.
Plus, like pennetta posted earlier, I was influenced by what BMW used in the brochures. The brochure I saw had mostly Titanium Grey and Orient blue cars in it.

The e60 has alot of grey shades. My favorite grey color that BMW made was Steel Grey that was offered in the M3 for a few years.
The sparkling graphite metallic on the new 3 series also looks very nice.

Alpine White with Black interior.
After having black cars for the past 10+ years, it was time for a change.
Also with two young children, the white wouldn't show up as many imperfections/finger prints/etc. if they would happen to occur.
Much easier than keeping the Black clean.
Also, no matter what the year, there's nothing like a white 5 series!
(except maybe black).

I have ordered Jet Black, which I think adds a bit more to the menacing looks of the E60. However, I have not seen a more stunning car in white than the E60. Something about the lights, reflectors and a great set of rims makes that car look stunning. My last two cars have been white by accident (best deals I could get) and I could not do another one. I'm ready for a little upkeep pain.
