Since buying this 535i i’ve had this noise coming from behind the dash that i thought was the blower motor. I took apart the center console and blower motor cover, the noise got louder but it wasn’t the blower motor. I then took apart the cowl in the engine bay and the noise got even louder.

The noise isn’t changed from rpm, just higher speeds. The ac doesn’t have to be on to make the noise. I’m curious to see if anyone else has dealt with this noise.

Sounds more like a bad wheel bearing or CV axle to me.

So, it doesn't make that noise while the car is stationery?

Yeah the noise location might be tricking me. I’m not really sure what to listen out for when it comes to suspension. Mainly because this is the first car i’m trying to repair myself. But i’ll look into it.

No it doesn’t happen until i reach about 20 mph. It’s just been really hard to pinpoint the noise

It was indeed the wheel bearing. Thank you, i would’ve been lost haha.
