My Ride: 2008 535i Titanium Silver, Black Dakota Leather with Bamboo Wood, Sport-Premium-Cold Weather Packages, Sport Auto with Shift Paddles, Navigation, iPod & USB adapter, Satellite Radio, Heated Rear Seats
I searched but couldn't find the answer that I needed.
I have 08 535i and hpfp & 4 injectors were replaced. HPFP was replaced with -943 in March 2010. It is not the newest one.
When I accelerate, I hear a noise from under the hood. The noise is clearly metallic, something like clicking and tapping noise. I only hear that noise when I accelerate. It is easy to hear in low speed and I'm not sure in high speed because of the noise from tires and wind. I bought the car 4 years ago and I never hear the noise. However, I hear the noise since new years eve. I don't know maybe I had the noise before. I always turn on the music before I drive my car.
Today, I went to dealer but technician heard the noise. However, he is not sure and wants to drive another 535 or turbo engine, N54, car to compare next week.
I don't think it is normal. Should I be worried about HPFP fault, injectors, maybe turbo???
