Yeah, it's hard to know just how fast you're going unless you look at the speed. I've never owned a car that felt so solid and quiet before. Also, one that ever had so much power.

Sometimes I think to myself when I'm doing only 60 mph. I think back to growing up in Pittsburgh, PA and how the speed limit in most places was only 55 mph. Zipping past 55 mph and typically cruising 70-75 is a big difference.

Sir, you got lucky lol. He could'v suspend your license and tow the car for driving almost 50+ of the original speed limit. The good part of oyur story is that you showed whos the boss infront of the lexus.

Battery commander eh. SP, towed or ADA? Just curious. It's in the blood.

On previous vehicles I've had a 1st Cavalry Division sticker on the back, saved me from more than one ticket. Maybe I'll have to make one up with magnetic backing.

Be careful out there!

Lucky MOFO! haha i got pulled over about a month ago heading south on I89 coming from Canada. Radar detectors are illegal in Canada so i had mine put away and had just crossed back into the good ol USA when boom cop. I was doing over 100MPH cruising, late at night, no traffic when I see the SOB (jk btw) sitting behind a overpass support. I knew i was in trouble, he put his lights on and was on my tail in what felt like seconds. I pull over, put my windows down, mainly because i have illegal tint, 35% all around, and he comes over to me and says, you now why i pulled you over right? and my response was yes officer, i was speeding, he then goes on to tell me that I was very very lucky his radar gun was old and only went up to 99MPH because he knew i was going faster. He said that i was criminally speeding and that he could take me to jail, lucky he didn't. So I ended up with a $400 fine and 8 points, In Vermont 10 points is a suspended license. I am going to court to see if i can get rid of the points by doing some community service or something, but let me tell you, I have not gone more than 5mph over any speed limit since! Wish the 5 series wasnt so god damn smooth and quiet!

anyway anyone here get off a ticket by fighting it in court?

My girlfriend does that traffic ticket clinic stuff. Even so, I had to remove her off my insurance.

No doubt that your uniform saved you from jail, impounding and a suspended license. Your story is exactly why I have never bought a radar detector.
