Hi Guys,

Haven't been here in a while, been out of state for school and just got back home.

I was trying to start my car this week and i think the starter is gone, i checked my battery and it's 100% good (bought it 6 months ago) and got a new key (needed a new one since my previous one the lock/unlock didn't work) When i go to step on the break and press the "push to start" button all i hear is the fuel pump for a couple seconds and that's all. No crank, turnover or click. Can anyone confirm that this is a starter problem? (2007 525i just reach 100k miles)


My second problem is that im currently stuck in my driveway with (possible bad starter) and can't open my hood My driver side hood latch cable got disconnected from my hood lock and now only my passenger side pops up. I removed the driver side wheel well and tried pulling on the cable but it's completely loose. Any way i can remove the grilles and unlock the hatch? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
