Hey guys,

I recently took out my ipod integration from my car and now NOTHING works. My radio doesnt work nor my CD player. I know they programmed my car for the ipod to work, do I need to go to the dealer and pay all that money again in order to un program it? Please help, i tried looking on the forum but couldnt find ANYTHING, btw i have a 2005 530i. Thanks

you can't just remove it- you have to close the fiber optic loop. you need either a plug on the end of the fiber connector to wrap it, or remove that section of the fiber from the loop.

or, plug your old CD changer back in.

You will need to get it from the parts counter. It is a tiny little piece of plastic that is used to hold the ends of 2 fiber cables in alignment then wrap it with some tape.

Look in your glove box with the ignition on and you will find those 2 cables and will see red light in one of them.
