My Ride: 545 2005 Model. Full spec so happy with as is.(for the moment!)
Had a similar problem which turned out to be the battery. I tried stopping the car and taking the key out to reset the system and this worked but not for long... Good luck.
Yikes ! Do a Google search I remember reading that autozone sells a battery exactly the same as the kind our car takes as for coding maybe someone can do it for you. But before you change your bat you should go get it tested.
I think most members will tell you to go get your own battery and drop it in yourself. Will cost you about $200. And a good indy will charge about $50 to register it. But you'll have some members telling you that they have never had their batt registered and it works just fine too.
StormTrooper, unlock the secret obc menu (google or youtube it) , get to menu number 9 and check the voltage levels
A) when you get in the car
b) when you put key to position II
c) while the car is starting
and d) how long it takes for the voltage to get to 14.x after startup. This should be 1-2 seconds, but when I alternator was failing, it would take 7-10 seconds and pick up voltage quite slowly as opposed to almost instantly. Towards the end of its life, the alternator would take 20 mins to switch on!
