I am planning on getting a new M5 in the next little while. I live in Canada and want to purchase a can in the U.S.

With the higher Canadian Dollar I would save $ 25,000 !

Does anyone know how this can be done?

Will the car warranty still be valid here?

Thanks,

Ken

I meant car, not can, typo

BMW's are definitely not cans, but with all that aluminum?

I'm not an expert but won't you have to pay a huge duty tax on importing your car? I lived in both Canada and the US and my understanding was you have to pay duty on a car purchased in the US. Also be prepared for warrenty hassles. I had an acura I bought in Canada and when I moved to the US and had a warranty repair it was denied by the dealer, the US and Canadian warranties are often different. Eventually I appealed to Acura US and got reimbursed but it was a PITA. I wouldn't do it again unless I had lots of cash in my pocket as a result. ie. less than $5000 to me, it wouldn't be worth it.

He's from Toronto dude. That's 2623.51 miles from Seattle. Kind of a commute for an oil change
