Playing MP3 and Navigation from DL DVD
#21
I just use Roxio to Drag and drop whole folders of MP3 into the DVD (only tried 4.7gb SL). Nothing special is needed.
Click on entertainment and you can see all the folders and just play the MP3's, go to root, and see all folders, click on folders and select any track. The iDrive even displays the name of the tracks.
What I like about this is that you can keep 2-3 discs in the Visor and you have reasonable access to several gb's of music!
It is crying shame that the CDC is from 1988! Even then, the DVD thing works well - the CDC only has 6 slots, each cabale of holding 700ish mb of MP3's - which equates to one or so 4.7 gb DVD.
I nee to try a DL and see if I can up the ante!!
PS - if you, like me, keep a backup of the DVD software and can't fit it onto a 4.7 or have trouble with DL, you could just (sorry for the patronising bit) keep the Backup at home in case you lose the original. You can get the originals cheaply from flebay!!
