Good point, Platinum Bronze is effectively the LCI replacement for Amethyst Gray. I think it'll be a very close race between the two for the title of which is rarest!

BTW, love what you've done with your Amethyst E60, it looks fantastic. I don't think you could achieve the same result with a Platinum Bronze E60.
Thanks for the compliment. I see you're running 19" in winter as well. How do you like those 128? Are they staggered?

I ordered an 09 PGM 535xi about 7 weeks ago. Car has been held up in NJ for the last 3 weeks due to the CARB certification / EPA issues. Hopefully it will be "on the road" in the next two weeks. I forgot how great the car looked until I saw the pictures on this post. I can't wait to get her home.
Nice, post some pics when you take acquisition...

I picked up a PG/Gray 08 535i manual over the weekend. Really like the color. Turned in a Sapphire Black 550i off of lease. Black was a nightmare to keep clean. Hope this one is better.

It's an incredible color, IMO and I'm still puzzled why it's not as popular. Like xBMWx mentioned, maybe it's because it will look dull in cloudy weather. There isn't all that much flake in the paint, but when the sun comes out, every little piece in there comes out. Enjoy your new ride and welcome to the forums!

From my couple months with the car, it's easier than black. Keep a Cal Duster hanging in the garage and hit it each morning. Easy!

BTW, welcome to the forums! Now there're 3 PGMs on the forum...4 when bamastones' comes in.

Platnium Gray is the best. My previous 528 was Platnium Gray / Gray leather and i loved it!! Didnt wont to turn it in!! Whats weird is that i had a loaner 528i - Platnium Gray / Black Leather and enjoyed my Gray Leather better.

Right now, i have Titanium Silver and i enjoy it, but compares nothing to Platnium Gray.

Its not a lot of them at the plant where i work either. Majority is Jet Black / Alpine White / or Space Gray or Deep Sea Blue.

I am also in love with Platnium Bronze too.

Yes i agree!! When i first saw Platnium Gray at the plant, i knew i had to order that color. My 528i Titanium Silver that i have now looks very good when clean, but it shows dirty as well. Not very bad, but bad enough!

My wife has always hated Silver cars (but look below) - She's driving it, so she must not hate it too bad.
