How come I'm not seeing any PGM's around, either on E60.net or especially on the street? Tons of Alpine White, Space Grey, Blacks, Blues, and silvers, but no PGM? Where's the love?

I really like the Platinum grey... i just couldn't find it anywhere during the 3 months of lookin around. So yes, I guess that makes it rare!

I see grey (not sure if it's platinum grey) quite often around my area.... But of course, silver and black take up 90%.

I think Platinum Bronze wins the rarest E60/E61 colour award, but I agree, the Platinum Grey is certainly rarer that silver grey, silver and black. These dark BMW greys (Titanium / Platinum Grey / Sparkling Graphite) are always high on my favourites list, however with the cloudy / dull weather we get here a lot of the year, the dark greys have a tendancy to look pretty dull most of the time, and don't "shine" or "stand-out" like other colours do. Shame really, because it can look fantastic. In SoCal where you are, you no doubt get to enjoy the classy shine of Platinum Grey most of the time
I love the colour combo on sick60's ride; platinum grey, black (shaddow line / tints / etc) and big alu rims

Good point, Platinum Bronze is effectively the LCI replacement for Amethyst Gray. I think it'll be a very close race between the two for the title of which is rarest!

BTW, love what you've done with your Amethyst E60, it looks fantastic. I don't think you could achieve the same result with a Platinum Bronze E60.

p.s. sorry Alex, we've drifted a little off topic here Now back to Platinum Grey....

I ordered an 09 PGM 535xi about 7 weeks ago. Car has been held up in NJ for the last 3 weeks due to the CARB certification / EPA issues. Hopefully it will be "on the road" in the next two weeks. I forgot how great the car looked until I saw the pictures on this post. I can't wait to get her home.
