You're asking a bunch of strangers to help you make a very personal decision--how do you know you have the same tastes? FWIW, go to a dealer with a large inventory of 08's. Line up the various grays IN THE SUNLIGHT, and make your decision. Remember that the color in the sun is going to be different from a cloudy day, at night under artificial lights, in your garage under an incandescent bulb, etc.
Whatever your choice, you'll love it! Good luck!

Long story short, i got a rock on my windshield less than 48 hours after picking up the car and i am getting the windshield replaced today.....dropped off the car today morning. It is costing me ~850 USD, and that is because i am getting it done thru' the dealership/BMW approved body shop. Others may do it cheaper........

I wouldn't go to that dealer. While it is a different windshield it doesn't cost that to replace it. Not even close.

This is true.

The new colors seem to have a prism or something.

Sunny, cloudy day, mist or night, all gives a new shade of any color!

More important is the balance between int and ext colors and for some the practicalities.

Dark outside colors need a wash about 3 three times more often than lights ones.

I'm very happy with my Space Gray/Black Interior/Light Poplar selection. I also got the comfort seats without the Sport Package....my dealer told me rarely has anyone ordered that separately but I didn't care for the Sport wheel and "black out" around the windows. I love these seats!

Very true. But it gives me ideas to consider. Like learning about the gray headliner and the option for anthracite headliner. I did look at both in the sunlight and will again later this week when it's not so sunny which is usually the case in fall in the northwest.

The Invoice of SP is $1185 & MSRP is $1300
The Invoice of MCS is $1090 & MSRP is $1200

You saved about $100 not having Sport wheel and Black shadow line.
I did math and got SP, LOVE the SP.

Hey 100 bucks buys you at least 2 tanks of gas.
It more of a choice between the shadowline versus chrome exterior trim. A black 5 series looks good with the chrome trim in my opinion.

The chrome trim is common and U C in almost every car. Mine black shadowline looks elegant.

Hey Amigo525 -- We're on the same boat! My new 535xi is also on the Integrity due into NY on 11/5. Platinum Gray with Black interior. I'm in East Fishkill, so we'll have to take a picture of the two cars side by side for posting for a "true" comparison!

I agree.

Pm me.

That sounds about right, not too bad for a dealer either. I think the dealer cost on a non-HUD windshield is something like 400 USD and for a HUD windshield it's 470 USD.
