Hey all,

I just took delivery of a 550 in Monaco Blue, and I think it would look great with a subtle pinstripe. I'm on the west side of Los Angeles, and I'll be damned if I can't find a single reputable business that will do it...aside from Earl Scheib

Anyone in SoCal know of a shop that does decent work? What kind of cost do you think I'd be looking at, aaaand what color would you go with?

I'm thinking either white, or a dark red.

Pin stripes are tacky IMHO. Please don't cheapen the car by adding stripes.

To me, Pin stripes are in the same league as flames or ricer graphics.

On the other hand, it's your car do as you wish w/ it.

I'm just curious why you think pinstripes would look good. Did you have a previous car with pinstripe detailing?

By the way, congrats on a great a car.

No, never have. I saw an orient blue 545 last night with a single red stripe and thought it looked both tasteful and added some individuality to the car.

Pinstripes used to came standard on cars a while back. My family had a Calypso Red E34 that had a gold pinstripe, and I had a Black Jeep Grand Cherokee with a gold pinstripe.

I think pinstripes are a nasty relic from over 10 years ago. It'd be like wearing a suit from 80's with those huge shoulder pads. It just doesn't look right today.

Hahaha, well there you have it folks, i've been swayed by the masses.

No double breasted pinstripes for this 550.
