I find it easier to drive in traffic with a good manual. The car doenst rush ahead causing me to have to move my feet back and forth from the gas to brake... with manual... driven properly the engine braking will slow the car enough to cruise at idle...
Strange, I have exactly the same experience with a properly driven auto. Never had any kind of "rushing ahead".

Incidentally, in some of our traffic it's only the brake pedal that gets used anyway!!

PS I also drive a manual car.

Looking good . . . Congrats on getting the car and surviving the wait!

I'm curious . . . when did your car arrive at the port? Mine got to NY two weeks ago and it's not even at the NJ VDC yet. I'm bummin . . .

+1 ... I do not get any "rushing" with the autos that I have driven either. Would dearly love to have a manual but, when I did in the past, I used to get home with a sore left leg and ankle pretty much every day. We've got traffic that's very similar to what ABC's alluding to.

Congrats on the car, by the way, looking good ...

I drive a manuel as my preference, in cases of traffic jam I like to 'glide' the car in neutral, sometimes not even needing to touch the brake padal, the car is slow enough to simply stop 2 feet behind the vehicle ahead or by a light pull (2 clicks) to the hand brake.

Congrats on a great car! Seems like we're seeing the 6spd manual becoming a very popular option.
