My car has finally arrived at dealer & am picking up tomorrow. 550i Msport (from Canada) silver grey on black. Alum Cube trim, 6 sp manual, premium pkg and Nav. The wheels are style 172 with 19" Continentals (non run-flat!). I stopped by the dealer last night and he let me take it off the lot for a test spin on the highway. Wow!! I traded in my 2004 545 4 months ago and it has been a long wait. If I figure out how to post pics I will try in a couple days.......

Congrats, sounds like a nice set up. In Canada are you able to trade up wheels? I don't believe in US we have that option. Pls post pictures!

In Canada the style 172 19" wheels are part of the M Sport package on the 550i. One option that we can NOT get in Canada that I believe is available in the US is the SMG transmission. It is one that I probably would have liked to try.

Abother interesting note with the M Sport package from Canada. You can not add the Active steering or Dynamic Drive option with the M sport package. If you want active steering & DD you must have the standard 550 or else with the regular sport package. This is very similar to the M5 set-up. Active steering & DD is no part of the M5

Hey Hey Hey... I was in my honeymoon stage

Good luck on the pickup... Im sure you will not even be thinking of taking a pic when you are picking up the car... there is just too much to do at that point.

I'll likely take some pics once I get it home.

Dear 4stngr,

I have once taken pictures at the delivery of my '95 316i Compact.

They are just so cool, I can seen in the background other BMW models etc.

If you have the camera (a 4-5 pixel digi camera with optical zoom
costs about $200).

But you need the balls.

Make it a happen and shoot the pics!

After some 20 years the pics will come alive...

PS. And to prove it I did take a pic from my "chemical" picture album with
my 1,3 Mpix Nokia cellcam (the quality of the pic is really bad, as you can see).
But I have 3 other good ones, taken more or less excatly 9 years ago, only!
