So, my lease is up on my X5. I considered another, but reading up a bit on the X5, the only real choice is the 4.8 and mileage isn't exactly one of it's virtues. Since this will be my daily driver, it does matter a bit because I hate stopping for gas every 3rd day. I also considered the X6 and I'm "OK" with the look, but I don't want another "polarizing" vehicle. I just want to blend and drive on my way. I'll consider another SUV in a few years.

I'm getting one pretty well equipped, Jet Black/ Dakota Black, Sport, Premium, Comfort Access, Sirius, Sport Auto, Heated Fronts, RTT, Bamboo Anthracite, Logic 7 (Premium Hi-Fi) and iPod/USB

I'll take delivery on Saturday and avoid any increase. Not sure I would have had to pay it anyhow? dunno. It is on the truck to the dealer and since it's only going from Port Hueneme to Westlake Village it should be there today or tomorrow.

Mods?

Can't imagine doing too much to this one. I'll likely pickup a set of tires for my M6 wheels, but I am still considering finding a set of M5 wheels. Can't decide. I'll get it tinted by Hann Kim (STM in LA), probably 65% Huper Optik on all windows, sunroof and windshield.

Please dont make it an M5 clone. Leave it be. It's a great car. Do something different if you feel the need to mod. The M6 wheels will look great. You'll probably want to do something with the front. I think there's an OEM spoiler that looks great. I may be mistaken in thinking it will fit an LCI but it's worth a look.

That's the idea... I really want to avoid the "M5 clone" route. I really like the OEM look, so the M6 wheels will most likely be the best choice. I also save some money because I already have them and simply need to replace the tires with the proper size for the E60. Not even sure on the spoiler, I want this one to be simple this the reason for the "barely there" 65% tint.

I've had mine 3 weeks and luvin it. About the only thing I'm considering for an exterior mod is painting the amber fender markers.

A preemptive "Congrats" on the new car!! Perhaps I'll see it around Thousand Oaks (I assume you're taking delivery at Rusnak). Good Luck with the new car!

Yup... Camarillo. I bought my 650i at Steve Thomas but since then it's been all Rusnak. David Connolly there has been my sales guy and I'm very happy with his attention to detail.
