Our 3er driving member Thyrus (Patrick) and myself were on our way back from a company event and both our cars were pretty clean -- expect for all the damned bugs/flies we'd just picked up on the autobahn We had stopped off by chance in an good spot for some pics. We took up about 5 - 6 spaces, which resulted in some disapproving looks from other drivers... but they obviously hadn't seen the sign in the first picture

High-level specs:
- E60: 525dA, M-Sport, Carbon Black, OEM 19" type M166 rims (more details in my signature)
- E90: 325d, M-Sport, Saphire Black, Black-Line Tail lights, OEM 19" type 269 rims (...I love those new BMW Performance rims!!!)

Enjoy...

Your E60 looks so much better... I never understood the E90 design, the front is OK but the rear is terrible.
The rims make up some of it though, and of course the handling is very very good (even a bit sharper and more direct than a standard E60 is my experience)

Drive safely on the Autobahn. Always difficult when you're driving together with 2 nice cars like these.

i know what youre saying, i have three friends who drive e90 sedans(2 328's and a 335), still nice bimmers (especially the procede chipped 335 ) , but i dont get how bmw decided to make a new version 3 series look.. well atheistically sub par to an e60(IMO and even my friends would say) but add black lines and it looks alot better in the back
of course the coupe looks devilishly sexy

thanks for the comments guys.

I had two E46 3ers and absolutely loved them. I had planned to stick with the 3er and then they brought out the E90 The rear end totally put me off the car. I was considering the 330d, which handled great and went like a rocket, but I just couldn't stand the look of that rear end. And that's why I took a look at the 520d M-sport and haven't looked back since as you can see in my signature below...

That said, I love the look of Patrick's E90, with the Black Line tail lights and those BMW Performance rims. Makes a huge difference... but its still not an E60 (-sorry mate!)
