Drive safely on the Autobahn. Always difficult when you're driving together with 2 nice cars like these.
Clearly written by someone with Autobahn experience! I know what you mean, its always VERY tempting to really push the cars hard and have some fun It does however need to be done where there is limited traffic and where the second car can hang back far enough or in a different lane, so that it also has good visibility and enough braking distance. We've done a lot of these runs together before, so we have developed a driving style / approach to these high-speed autobahn cruises to ensure we can drive quickly & safely, and not like hot-headed maniacs. It naturally also helps that the big BMWs have their fair share of left-lane overtaking prestige here in Germany!

Nice photoshoot, really like the cars combined with the scenery!

So my question is, where actually can I find this spot? This summer I?m in both the Munich & FFM area, and if I have a nice car with me I would like to take some shots also there (if it is not too far of my planned route).

Thanks for the comments

This is the car park at the "Idstein" junction on the A3 autobahn. You turn left when you come off the motorway and its then on the left handside. Its not far north of FFM, I believe about 2 or 3 juntions before Wiesbadener Kreuz, where the A3 hits the A66.

Our 3er driving member Thyrus (Patrick) and myself were on our way back from a company event and both our cars were pretty clean -- expect for all the damned bugs/flies we'd just picked up on the autobahn We had stopped off by chance in an good spot for some pics. We took up about 5 - 6 spaces, which resulted in some disapproving looks from other drivers... but they obviously hadn't seen the sign in the first picture

High-level specs:
- E60: 525dA, M-Sport, Carbon Black, OEM 19" type M166 rims (more details in my signature)
- E90: 325d, M-Sport, Saphire Black, Black-Line Tail lights, OEM 19" type 269 rims (...I love those new BMW Performance rims!!!)

Enjoy...

Nice ride and wax job on the 525. Do you have spacers on the 525 with m166 rims?

My 530 is bone stock and I'm considering on getting 20" m 166. I don't want to drop my ride though.
