They replaced mine but after a while it showed signs of peeling on the window control panel. I had my trany sorround peeling also but because of my mistake(another story)
.
Disgusted knowing that i will miss my 5 er for a week should i brought it back, I got a rug and slightly soak it in kerosene. I applied it to all affected portion and peeled off the orig paint entirely using my hand/fingers/rug on the tranny sorround and window control panels. The result is highly acceptable. As a matter of fact it looks brand new, with the same flat look. Why do they have to paint it? Now I'm happy with my decision. Thanks FYI
