Default PDC removal

if I have a PDC bumper and wanted to purchase a non PDC bumper can I simply eliminate the PDC in the front of my car or will there be all kinds of codes going off.......and if so is there a way to fix this so I don't need PDC on my front bumper?

If you change the VO you should be fine. Eliminate the 508, which is for both front and rear and add 507 which is rear only.

Aren't all E60 have front and rear PDC or non at all? Never saw E60 only with rear PDC.

No not all, they are standard on M5s and 550s but otherwise they are mostly rear only.

No worries, we all have to start somewhere. VO (vehicle order) is basically what tells the computers what options are on the car so everything can interact. The VO is primarly stored in the CAS (car access system) and a backup copy in the LM(light module). The number all stand for a code which corresponds with an option on the car. When the car sees 508 in yor VO it will be checking for the front and rear PDC while if it sees 507 it knows not to look for a front PDC so thus no errors.

In order to manipulate the VO you will need NCS expert or someone who has the approriate system. You can do it all yourself if you spend the time to learn.
