I've recently had a malfunction popup, it's says the passenger restraint system malfunction. I took it to my hookup at the dealer and he said the "mat sensor" or something needed to be replaced. He said the part was like 600 but wanted to get your guys knowledge on this first. Has anyone experienced this before?

hey this is a heavily touched topic on this forum, search and you shall see. I had the same problem, my dealer did a software update and it solved the problem.. no charge.

I apologize, this was the first thing I did was search the topic but couldn't find any hits. But you think all it needs is a software update?

no need to apologize... some people had to have the pass. side seat mat sensor replaced, there is a recall and it was extended to 100k even if your out of warranty i believe. in my case it was an easy fix.
try using quotations around your search. good luck

Had the same problem and it was the airbag/seat sensor. Essentially a big flimsy circuit board that gies inside the seat. Part was about £100 from the stealership. Had it fitted and car coded by Indy.
