Passenger airbag yellow warning light - when should it light up?

Interesting. My pre-LCI 2006 behaves the same way as Rudy's LCI 2008. The yellow light is always off unless there's a light object detected (regardless of software version).

At some point that got changed, either in software or hardware, between when our 2004's were built and your '06. For those of us with '04's all we have ever know has been the bright yellow Air Bag Warning light...

Exactly -- I didn't mean to imply this was an LCI thing, I was just citing examples based on the two E60's I've experienced first-hand.
