I would say there might be a problem on all E60's, but since BMW has sent recall letters and told the dealers to stop doing this recall for now, I really can't tell you if or if not the passenger airbag works...
The most haven't received any letter yet, but some did...
It is confusing and doesn't make me feel safe...

BTW, over here, the local dealer say they issue these recall letters in batches, in alpabetical order (probably based on last name) otherwise their workshop will be swamped with E60 owners who want to get their fix!

I think they should have informed everybody that needs a recall because a lot of people will be unsure if they have to come in or not. BMW isn't the best company in informing it's customers.
