Particle Filter Failure ???

I saw in the photo thread that you got your new 535d in december, didn't you have the turbos inspected before purchase?

True, but this is a really crappy way to do so.

I guess there wasn't anything resembling some sort of warranty on it?

Anyways, I'm not sure how much more complex exchanging a (main) turbo in a 535d is than in the 530d but the overall price seems steep to me, even for a dealer. (unless there is a lot of collateral damage due to the blown turbo)
Are you going to try and find a good independent BMW specialist to get it done for a more reasonable price?
