parking sensor
#1
HI everyone.
Just have a few questions.....I have 2005 2.0 diesel sport bmw and my front left-center parking sensor is not working. Could just one parking sensor affect the whole system and bring the system down??Has anybody replaced one??How much was the price for a one?Where can I buy it?What is the best way to install it?
If you place a new one will the system pick it up straight away or I will need to go to the dealer and get my computer reset.
could anyone, please give me some advise.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome,
One duff sensor will affect the whole system - which you will have discovered from the beep when you switch on the car.
The sensors just clip in from the back - if you can reach it.
They come pre-painted from Germany - no idea how much they cost
No computer reset required
If you are the sort to mess about with your car, it is definitely worth getting behind the bumper and removing the sensor to clean up the electrical contacts.
I had one of my (rear's) go intermittent - it was mostly off! I was just able to get a finger to the back of the sensor and give the connector block a wiggle. It's been fine ever since!
