My Ride: 05-530i and 06 530xit
Default

I have 172 rims {245, 35, 19(front) and 275 30, 19(rear) on my 530i with sport suspsension and toyo tr1 tires for about two years. I recently replace the my rear with falken tires fk 452 due to the cost factor {they were dirt cheap compare to the toyos}. However, after installing them my rear tires appear and look very small and strecthed. They leave a whooping gap between the wheel wells, and make my front look bigger than my rear. My question to everyone, do tires vary from different manufacturers, even though the specs are the same. I really debating of spending the extra cash and buy the toyos i had before. Any suggestion of how to make it look like they did before wider and taller. Thanks

The Falkens are known to be a bit "smaller" compared to other tires of the "same" size. A 285 Falken is about equivalent to a 275 in other models.

You don't have to rub it in, Dave. They feel self-conscious enough as it is.

The 452's are what I am talking about. I am not sure if all Falken's run small or just these.

A nice rear wheel spacer should fix the appearance. When the wheel and tire are inset, it looks smaller.
